This team of nationally recognized joint replacement surgeons has created a unique surgeon-owned practice committed to providing state-of-the-art care offering non-surgical and surgical interventions for joint pain concerns or mobility issues.
Committed to excellence in their field, SJRI keeps a strong focus on research to ensure that their patients receive the most advanced, progressive medical treatment available. "This is a field undergoing enormous change and innovation right now, and we want patients to have confidence and trust in us to offer them the most advanced care, but also not to embrace fads or unproven technologies," says Dr. Michael Christie, one of the founders of the practice.
As the practice has grown in the last decade, Dr. Christie and Dr. David DeBoer have been joined by Dr. Craig Morrison and Dr. Jeff Hodrick. All four physicians are board certified fellowship-trained specialists in the field of adult reconstruction and joint replacement.
Most importantly, the group prides themselves on offering personalized, patient-centered care and service. Surgeons and staff members focus on increasing patient understanding and alleviating patient anxiety concerning joint replacement surgery by focusing on education and developing "care partnerships" with patients and their families throughout the continuum of care. Long term follow up care is emphasized and encouraged to monitor long term patient progress ensuring quality of life and mobility goals are maintained over time.
According to Dr. DeBoer, "The surgeons and medical staff at SJRI work with patients during all phases of joint care. Our goal is to see that our patients are well prepared for their hospitalization, physical therapy and post-op care. We believe this makes the surgery process proceed more smoothly."
